エコシステムを活用したコネクテッドビジネスの直近5四半期の成長が過去5年間の累計を上回る

不透明なマクロ経済状況下でも、日本のデジタル化需要においてインターコネクション（相互接続）の成長はコロナ禍前を超えると予測


グローバルなデジタルインフラストラクチャ企業であるエクイニクス（Nasdaq：EQIX、日本法人代表取締役社長 小川 久仁子、以下「エクイニクス」）は、年次市場調査「グローバル インターコネクション インデックス 2023」（Global Interconnection Index 2023:GXI 2023）を発表しました。GXI 2023では、世界的なサプライチェーンの制約や地政学的・経済的に不安定な状況が続くものの、積極的にインターコネクション（相互接続）を進める企業のデジタルインフラストラクチャに対する投資は減速していないことが明らかになりました。

今回のレポートで、自社のデジタルサービスを提供するためパートナーと直接的なインターコネクションを使用している企業の成長規模は、直近5四半期分が過去5年の累計を上回ることが分かりました。企業や組織は平均して、3倍のビジネスエコシステムパートナーおよびメトロと接続し、2倍以上のインターコネクション帯域*1を利用しています。

コロナ禍後を見据え、日本企業の間でもデジタルトランスフォーメーションが進んでいますが、エコシステムの高密度化がデジタルイノベーションを促進する鍵となり、インターコネクション帯域の拡大に拍車をかけています。今回のレポートによると、コアメトロの一拠点である東京がアジア太平洋地域でのインターコネクションをリードし、2025年までにインターコネクション帯域は1,758テラビット/秒（Tbps）に達すると予測され、これは2021年からの5年間の年平均成長率（CAGR）で37%になります。また、エッジメトロの大阪も2021～25年に45%のCAGRで成長し、インターコネクション帯域は149Tbpsになる予測です。これらの成長予測は、日本企業がビジネスを再考し、自社のテクノロジープラットフォームに将来性のあるインフラストラクチャを導入していることを表しています。
